Insuresoft’s 9th Annual User Group Meeting was held on October 13-15, 2009 at Insuresoft’s Technology Center in Tuscaloosa, Ala. While the tradition of assembling customers and staff together annually continued, new elements for the meeting were added. Recognizing the information needs for the business user and the technical user may differ, Insuresoft designed specific tracks catered to each audience. Topics for this year’s meeting included the 2010 delivery schedule, product enhancement schedule, policy, billing, claims, underwriting and both personal and commercial line updates. Presentations made by Diamond customers was also new for 2009 bringing a sense of peer collaboration to the agenda.
“Having other Diamond users present material was probably one of the most appealing parts of the user group meeting,” stated Todd Spencer, GM-Personal Lines at Federated Mutual Insurance Company , “It really showed the teamwork approach that Insuresoft has with their customers.”
“To have people like Chris Haines from Buckeye Insurance Group, Jim Streicher from Cincinnati Insurance Company and Kim McClain from Southern Mutual Insurance Company stand up and present their unique uses of Diamond in their respective worlds was extremely beneficial to all who were present,” stated Terry Brown, Vice President of Implementation at Insuresoft, “We are all very grateful for their participation as guest presenters at this year’s user group meeting.”
Each day concluded with an offsite dinner gathering including a private function held on Tuesday night at the University of Alabama’s Bear Bryant Stadium which included a memorable tour of the stadium, the press area, player tunnel and recruiting room.
